Pentax SP1000 Ball Peened Finish

Pentax SP1000. This model was chosen for this custom finish due to its clean lines. No hot shoe and lacking self timer this is a classic Spotmatic yet still has 1000/sec shutterspeed.
The finish is achieved by methodically peening the brass panels with a ball ended centre punch against a solid metal dolly. The technique gradually stretches the metal with each dimple so aligning the panels continually is crucial to ensure flush interfaces.
Following surface preparation the camera has then had a coat of gloss black cerakote ultra hard ceramic coating so it has a very resilient finish.
Offered for sale including 28mm f3.5 lens and hood that has also had the ball peen treatment.
